Il primo torneo di sempre dell'EPT in Ungheria,come sempre organizzato da PokerStars,si svolgerà nella magnifica Budapest dal 28 Ottobre al 1 Novembre.I vertici di PokerStars hanno deciso di ampliare la copertura degli eventi nell'Europa dell'est dopo il successo ottenuto nella scorsa edizione con il lancio di Praga e Varsavia.
I giocatori ungheresi hanno dimostrato la loro forza in molti dei tornei internazionali più importanti. Denes Kalo è stato protagonista di due appuntamenti dell'European Poker Tour -l' EPT Baden e l' EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo - e ha conquistato un totale di €1,554,000 in vincite.
Al monento si trova in ottavo posizione nell'EPT Tournament Leader Board, ed è sicuramente il giocatore ungherese migliore tra quelli che partecipano all'EPT. Valdemar Kwaysser è un'altro dei giocatori con un'impatto migliore nella scena globale del Poker. Ha vinto il primo evento PokerStars.net Latin American Poker Tour(LAPT) a San José, Costa Rica, nel Maggio 2008 per $274,103.
